Michael Dorr has expertise in visual computing, neuroscience, and clinical applications of computationally intensive algorithms and systems. He studied Computer Science with specializations in Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence at the Universities of Edinburgh, UK, and Lübeck, Germany. In 2010, Michael received his Doctorate in Engineering “summa cum laude” from the University of Lübeck, followed by a postdoctoral research position at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School. He then joined Technische Universität München as a Junior Fellow in 2014 and was a faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering until 2019.
